The Schaller Hannes bridge is a flat mount bridge designed for solid body electric guitars. The top must be flat in the area of the mounting surface for the bridge; this must be taken into account for carved tops.
The Hannes saddles are made of Schaller's special Schaller Sounder compound, a material blend with Teflon, which drastically reduces string breakage. The Schaller Hannes bridge is ergonomically shaped and has no sharp edges. In addition to improved playing comfort on the heel of the hand, the Teflon-containing material also protects the strings on the contact surfaces with its excellent sliding properties. Compared to other string saddles (made of brass or steel), Schaller Sounder compound saddles increase sustain by up to 25 %.
The sound of your guitar is much more harmonic, characterized by fine trebles and fast response as well as a defined, powerful and even reproduction. The string saddles rest on the body over a large area and are separated from each other due to the design, which results in an audible and noticeable gain in dynamics compared to all other known systems.
The pickups can be earthed via the string anchorplate (it holds the individual string saddles by means of intonation screws). For earthing, simply position a stripped, fanned-out stranded wire as an earth cable between the base of the bridge support and the guitar top during assembly.
