The Starplayer Bass was designed to complement the overall construction of Duesenberg's Starplayer TV model. It is a short scale semi-hollow bass delivering rich and deep bottom end.
The Starplayer Bass is made from spruce for the arched top, flamed maple for the back and bent sides and American Hardrock Maple for the neck topped off with a 12" Indian Rosewood fretboard.
The Starplayer Bass was designed with studio musicians in mind. The two separate volume controls for each pickup let you choose between endless blend options of both pickups. If you need to go dead silent in the studio, a small switch on the pickguard lets you switch off the bass completely without loosing your pickup blend setting.
Semi-Hollow Construction
Semi-Hollow instruments deliver a unique and open response that cannot be compared to the sound of a Solid-Body construction. Duesenberg's specialised construction additionally blocks most feedback and keeps you going even on high gain levels.
Bassbucker Pickups
Two of Duesenberg's Bassbucker Pickups will give you clear and rich overtones and crisp response in any situation. Seperate volume controls for each Pickup and a master tone dial allow you to blend the pickups to your preferred setting.
Plek Processed
A Plek processed fretboard guarantees perfectly level frets. This is the basis for Duesenberg's multi-step fret polishing and setup work all done by hand that eventually makes all our instruments play like nothing you have ever played before.
Nickel Hardware
You will find the geometrical three steps in almost every part on Duesenberg instruments, from the curves on the headstock to the shape of the output jack.
When compared to regular chrome finishes, nickel has a beautiful warm and elegant sheen and ages naturally over time. It's the way things were done before chrome became the standard. If you don't want the hardware on your instrument to age, Duesenberg recommend regular cleaning.
Handsome, laid-back and simply a good place for your instrument. Meet the Duesenberg Custom Line Cases. True flightcase quality, classically shaped, beautifully handcrafted and made to endure the most realistic and unrealistic abuses. It's a case you can just throw in the back of a car, train or airplane and won't have to worry about.
This instrument comes including the Duesenberg Custom Line Case as standard.
